Summary:
The S2F-U1 Corsair III medium-range shuttle was an early transatmospheric spacecraft, primarily used in the mid- to late-21st-century in the United Nations Space Fleet. The Corsair was a modular design, with separate cockpit and propulsion modules. This design, in concert with a number of creative configurations, made for a very flexible workhorse craft. From passenger duty to cargo to construction, the Corsair was up to the task. These plans depict the Corsair III (one of two assigned to the DY-255NX), in passenger configuration, with a capacity of up to 3 crew and 20 passengers. The passenger module's airfoils, necessary for atmospheric flight, can be retracted into the hull for space travel and on-board stowage.
About these schematics: This high-quality full-color packet consists of five 11"x17" fold-out sheets which show eight external views of the craft, as well as detailed internal cross-sections.
