Summary:
In 1863 the USS Vindicator was a 750-ton steamer purchased by the US Navy and then used by the Union army during the American Civil War starting in 1864. Now, in the 25th century, her name is emblazoned across the hull of the 5th iteration of her name as a starship in UCIP. More than 1200 men and women crew this vessel, one of the most powerful ships in Starfleet.
These are the voyages of the starship Vindicator, a new Discovery-class Deep Space Explorer in UCIP. As one of the oldest sims in the fleet, she holds a proud legacy spanning the careers of many of UCIP's best officers and staff. The Vindicator is a multi-platform, but mainly Play by e-Mail Simulation currently commanded by Commodore Rochelle Ivanova and Commander Almar Dahe'el.
The Vindicator's primary mission is exploration, but the ship and crew are often called upon to defend the Federation and her interests from hostile forces.
Now stationed out of Cold Station Theta in the lawless expanses of the Cheydinhall Sector, the ship and her crew have been tasked with the job of courting a species previously thought to have been lost in the spoils of war. Heading off into uncharted badlands alongside the USS Enterprise, the Vindicator will begin to explore the well guarded secrets of the powerful Stenellian Ascendancy while visiting their exotic, and beautiful, home world of Apsha.
