Video Stabilizer  (150-1270)     Troubleshooting        Faxback Doc. # 7255

The Archer Video Enhancer/Stabilizer is constructed of the finest
materials and components.  It should give you years of trouble-free
service.  However, if you do have problems and cannot find the solution
below, bring the unit to your local Radio Shack.

No Picture or Sound   - Check to see that the FADE switch is set to IN.

                      - Check the setting of the SOURCE A/B switch on the
                        VES.

                      - Set your TV to the same channel as the VES CHANNEL
                        switch.

                      - Turn the Lock control on.

                      - Make sure the TV works when connected to other
                        input sources.

                      - Make sure the separate A/B switch between the TV
                        VHF connector and the television is set to the
                        correct position.

                      - Check all video, audio, and power connections.

Sound but No Picture  - Check the brightness control on your TV.

                      - Check video connections.

Picture but No Sound  - Check the AUDIO LEVEL control on the VES.

                      - Check the volume control on your TV.

                      - Check audio connection.

ENHANCE and VNR       - Make sure the DELAY control is not in
Controls Have           the DEFEAT position.
No Effect

                      - Make sure you are viewing the picture from the VCR
                        or video disc player and not from antenna or cable
                        TV.  (Check the separate A/B switch setting.)

Picture has Vertical  - Adjust the LOCK control.
Roll

Line through Center   - Adjust the DELAY control.

No Recording          - Check the position of the FADE switch.

                      - Check the setting of the SOURCE A/B switch on the
                        VES.

                      - Check the connections between the VES and the
                        recording VCR(s).

                      - Check the settings on the recording VCR(s).
