You can place the alarm on a desk or table, or you can mount it on the
wall.  You can use a strip of double-sided tape (included) to attach the
alarm to the mounting surface, or to temporarily hold the alarm in place
while you mount the alarm with the screws.

CHOOSING A LOCATION

Before you install the alarm, choose a location, where the entry point
(door or window) is within the alarm's detection angle.  The alarm detects
motion best when the object moves across the detection angle, rather than
directly toward or away from the alarm.

Notes:  Do not install the alarm in an area where sun shines directly on
        it or where it might get wet.

        Do not install the alarm near a heat source such as a radiator,
        stove top, or light.

        Avoid locations where extreme temperature changes might occur.

        Avoid places with high humidity (such as a bathroom).

PLACING THE ALARM ON A DESK OR TABLE

Follow these steps to use the alarm on a desktop or table.

1.  Gently press out the mounting bracket's sides.  Insert the alarm into
    the bracket with the sensing lens facing out.

2.  Place the alarm's tabs in the bracket's round holes.  Rotate it to set
    alarm's angle, then place it on the desk or table.

    Note:  If you want the alarm to face straight out, align the alarm's
           tabs with the bracket's notches.

MOUNTING THE ALARM ON A WALL

Follow these steps to mount the alarm on a wall.

1.  Using the mounting bracket as a template, mark the two screw holes on
    the wall.

2.  Drill two 3/8-inch holes for the supplied anchors and hammer them
    into the wall.

3.  Use the two supplied screws to attach the mounting bracket to the
    anchors.

4.  Insert the alarm into the bracket with the sensing lens facing out.

5.  Place the alarm's tabs in the bracket's round holes and rotate to set
    the alarm's angle.

Note:  If you want the alarm to face straight out, align the alarm's tabs
       with the bracket's notches.
