Follow these steps to use the radio.

Warning:  To protect your hearing, set VOLUME to its lowest setting
          before you turn on the radio.

1.  Connect the headphones or speakers to the SCP-64.

2.  Set RADIO/TAPE-RADIO OFF to RADIO.

3.  Set AM/FM to the desired band.  To listen to an FM station in stereo,
    set MONO/ST-FM to ST-FM.

    Note:  When you receive an FM station in stereo, the FM STEREO
    indicator lights.

4.  Adjust VOLUME to a comfortable listening level.

5.  Rotate TUNING to select the desired radio station.

Notes:  For the best FM reception, fully uncoil the headphones' (or
        speakers') cord.

        The AM antenna is built-in.  Move the SCP-64 to improve AM
        reception.

        To improve reception for weak FM stations, set MONO/ST-FM to
        MONO.  To return to stereo sound, set it back to ST-FM.

6.  Set EXTENDED BASS SYSTEM to IN if you want to increase the bass sound.
    To leave the bass sound unchanged, set it to OUT.

7.  To turn off the radio, set RADIO/TAPE-RADIO OFF to TAPE-RADIO OFF.
