CONNECTING THE LP-1000 TO THE COMPUTER

The LP-1000 is equipped with both video and Centronics parallel connectors,
use the Centronics parallel connector for direct connection to a computer.
The video interface will require special hardware to connect between your 
computer and laser printer. To find out the sequence in which to turn on 
your LP-1000 and computer, check your computer owner's manual.

1. Be sure that both the LP-1000 and the computer are turned off.

2. Connect the end of the interface cable to the appropriate connector on
   the rear of the LP-1000. Do not attempt to force the cable into the 
   connector. If it won't fit, turn it over and try again.

3. Connect the other end of the cable to the appropriate connector on the
   computer. Consult your computer owner's manual for more specific
   instructions concerning connectors and interfaces.

NOTE: The video interface connector and the DIP switch each have an
opaque cover that must be removed to use the video interface.
