The LP-800 is a compact, personal laser printer that can produce
near-type-set quality documents. You can use it with your word-processing,
desktop-publishing, or spreadsheet software to create newsletters, charts,
brochures, and other documents that require high-resolution printing.

The LP-800 operates like the popular HP Laserjet III, making it easy to use
with a wide range of software packages.

You can also have the printer operate like an EPSON FX-850, IBM Proprinter
XL24e and a PostScript compatible printer, with the optional PDL Emulation 
Cartridge (26-2891).

The LP-800 prints up to 8 pages per minute at a resolution of 300 DPI (dots
per inch). It has 14 bitmapped and 8 scalable fonts installed. You can
install optional font cartridges that greatly increase the number of sizes
and styles of typefaces you can use in your documents. You can also use
downloadable fonts supplied with popular programs such as Ventura Publisher
and PageMaker.

Edge Enhancement Technology

Edge Enhancement Technology (EET) improves the print quality of characters 
and graphics by "edge smoothing" the high-grade edge of the printed image. 
This process lets you get near 600 dpi (dots per inch) print quality with 
your 300 dpi printer.

You can use many types of paper with this printer:

   Letter, Legal, Envelopes, Transparent Sheets, and Label Sheets

   Paper Weights:  16-28 lbs Automatic Feed
                   16-32 lbs Manual Feed

drivers, you can control most printing functions through the software:
