You can set My Magic Diary's alarm to go off for 20 seconds at the same
time every day.  Or you can set the Hourly Time Signal, so that My Magic
Diary beeps every hour on the hour.  The alarm can be set for your Home
Time or for any of the World Time zones.

Enter the alarm Mode from the main menu by highlighting the Alarm Mode
icon (BELL SYMBOL.)

Then press EXE.

"Home" or "World" is shown in the upper right corner to indicate whether
the alarm is set for your Home Time or for a World Time zone.

To set an alarm time:

1.  Enter the Alarm Mode.

2.  Press FUNCTION.  Use UP ARROW to highlight "Alarm Time Set".

    Press EXE.

    The first hour digit is flashing showing that it can be changed to a
    desired setting.

3.  Type in a desired time.  For example, for 7:30, type: 0 7 3 0.

4.  Use LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW to move the flashing detail selector.

5.  If you are using the 12-hour format.  Be sure to specify AM or PM
    by pressing AM/PM.

6.  Press EXE.  The alarm will automatically switch on.

To set the alarm zone:

By setting the alarm zone, you can set an alarm for another time zone.
This may help you make a long-distance phone call, for example, at an
agreed-upon time.

1.  Enter the Alarm Mode.

2.  Press FUNCTION then use UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to highlight
    "Alarm Zone Set."  Then press EXE.

3.  Use LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW to change the alarm zone.  Then press
    EXE, and the alarm will automatically switch on.

You can switch the alarm and hourly time signal on and off.  To do so:

1.  Enter the Alarm Mode.

2.  Press FUNCTION.  Use DOWN ARROW to highlight "Sound."  Press EXE.

3.  Use UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to highlight one of the features.  Use LEFT
    ARROW or RIGHT ARROW to switch the features on or off.

4.  Press EXE.  This will store the settings you've just made.

To stop a sounding alarm, press any key on My Magic Diary.
