1. If the user is getting an "Incorrect DOS version" error, find out what
version of DOS is being used. If the user is running MS-DOS 5.0 or PC-DOS
5.0, you need to make sure they are loading SETVER.EXE in the CONFIG.SYS
file. There are two additional things you should check for.

    A. IBM's PC-DOS 5.0. MSCDEX.EXE is not included in the SETVER table in
       this version of 5.0. With PC-DOS, it will be necessary to add it by
       typing the following command:

       \DOS\SETVER MSCDEX.EXE 4.01 <ENTER>

       Reboot the machine and watch for errors again.

    B. MS-DOS 6.0. With DOS 6.0, it is not necessary to run SETVER for
       MSCDEX, because the latest (as of this writing) version of MSCDEX.EXE
       is included with the operating system. For systems running MS-DOS
       6.0, simply run the MSCDEX command from the \DOS directory. For
       example, change:

               \BIN\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD001
       to:
               \DOS\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD001
