It works just fine when the clock is set to 4.77 MHz, but skips a number of characters and prints trash when running at high speed. I was ready to blame the cable until I thought of the possibility of clock speed problems. I had tried the Diconix on my Tandy 2000 and on a Toshiba 1000 and it worked just fine. I had tried my EPSON LQ-500 with the 1400LT and it worked just fine. But the combination of Diconix and 1400 wouldn't work at all - until I slowed the clock. This is emulation independent - both the Epson and IBM emulations on the Diconix work fine. (For those not familiar, the Diconix is a battery-powered inkjet printer - very quiet, very fast, and very very portable). I got the Diconix from 47th St. Photo at a great price of $299. No, I'm not affiliated with them in any way. The whole reason I bought the printer is to do quiet, graphics-based printing on the 1400 at racing venues worldwide.
