| LASERBEAK™ is a protective companion for the Earth kids who become involved in the battle between the TRANSFORMERS. Given to the children by OPTIMUS PRIME, LASERBEAK records information in his spy bird mode and can launch fireblasts in his stun weapon mode. He is always alert to his surroundings, scanning for threats. Toy Review: Laserbeak is quirky-cool. Role-play toys are few and far between for TF fans, but this one isn't gratuitous. In the Armada show, this little guy is a helpful bot to the human kids, and now human kids get to play just like on the show. It's a hoot to play with, with all the different sounds it makes, in camcorder and gun modes, even the bird mode is fun. Any kid who likes Armada should have one of these little guys. The $17-ish price tag can be hard to swallow, but just remember all the cool sounds it makes. Not one or two, but like... err... 5 or somethin'! :) Oh, and that's not his tail, it's a wrist-strap for camcorder mode, silly. :P

The recorder mode, despite the colors, looks very realistic and the simple transform will not discourage younger Transformers fans. However, I do wish he were just a tad bigger. He is a bit pricey for his size, but the electronics even that out. |
