SARC

SARC was a chipset manufacturer for PCs during the 286, 386 and 486 era, usually found on the low-end boards.

Not to be confused with Samsung Austin R&D Center (SARC).

Believed to have been bought by UMC.

RC2015

The SARC RC2015 was an 80286 chipset. This chipset is known to have been used on the following systems and motherboards:

The AMI BIOS String contains: "[80286 Standard System 2V1]" and "Date:-05/05/91 (C)1985-1990, American Megatrends Inc."

Cyclone RC2016A4/5 Chipset

The RC2016A4 and RC2016A5 were singe-chip chipsets for 80386SX motherboards around 1992. Being single-chip, these were very tightly integrated with nearly all a motherboard's bus controllers, timers, and glue logic held inthe one ASIC. It supported up to 40 MHz CPU clock speeds.

This chipset is known to have been used on the following systems and motherboards:

RC2018 Chipset

I have no information on the RC2018 chipset, but assume it's similar to the RC2016.

RC4018A4 Chipset

The RC4018A4 was a chipset for 80386DX motherboards, dated 1993. It supported up to 40 MHz CPU clock speeds. Two chips were used: RC4018A4 and RC6206A4. The chipset was also able to support the Cyrix Cx486DLC and Texas Instruments TX486DLC CPU.

This chipset is known to have been used on the following systems and motherboards:
